Devi Descartin
The invisible production behind a 5.5M creator
Devi's page is "your virtual family member": skits where she plays the whole family. I ran the production system behind it, including brand campaigns for Jollibee, Grab, Shopee, IKEA and Mobile Legends.

01
The real problem
Devi plays multiple family members in a single skit. That only works if every version of her feels like a different person, and if the whole thing still feels spontaneous with a crew and a schedule behind it.
On top of that she had brand deals with Jollibee, Grab, Shopee, IKEA and Mobile Legends. Every one of those had to satisfy a brief while still feeling like the family moment her audience shows up for.
02
Finding the fix
- Roles assigned before every shoot, so a 40-person set knew exactly what to do from minute one.
- One schedule across TikTok skits, YouTube long-form and brand campaigns, so nothing overlapped or got dropped in busy weeks.
- On set, I worked as observer and guide: watching the full picture and catching anything that would break the illusion of a character.
- In the edit, sound design. Audio is what sells a character switch as a different person instead of the same actor changing tone.
03
What actually happened
Small skit days moved fast with a minimal crew. Big brand days ran on schedule because logistics were solved before anyone arrived. Every brand campaign went through the same pipeline, so Devi could take on deals without her content losing its feel.
04
What changed
- Shoots went from figure-it-out-on-the-day to a structured system
- Crew scaled cleanly between a handful of people and 40
- Brand work ran without disrupting the core content style
- YouTube long-form ran alongside TikTok without either suffering
- Devi's team had one reliable point person for bigger, higher-stakes campaigns
05
What I learned
For a creator like Devi, the audience should never feel the production. The moment a skit looks produced, it stops working. The real skill isn't running a big set, it's building a system that runs small or big without changing underneath.
